The lifestyle is focused on the daily choices we make: sport and exercise, work, food, aesthetics, free time. It is a key factor for our health and according to Dr. Tim Armstrong of the World Health Organization, lifestyle-related diseases such as cancer and diabetes account for 35 million deaths each year (60% of all deaths).
So is an unhealthy lifestyle?
Physical inactivity, junk food / fast food, smoking, alcohol consumption and drug addiction are all linked to an unhealthy lifestyle. In addition to these, the greater evolution of social media and jobs in the IT sector is putting people in difficulty. There are too many psychological and emotional stressors for all of us.
Impact of modern lifestyle on health and well-being
Unhealthy habits are associated with metabolic diseases, joint pain, skeletal problems, heart problems, hypertension, overweight and many others. Nutrition, lifestyle and health are closely related, so it is really up to us to keep our body in top condition.
Let’s take a look at some points that are influenced by many people:
Body mass index (BMI): high amounts of junk food, carbonated beverages and poor diet cause obesity. You can learn more from your BMI. It is calculated by a formula that takes weight and height into account and determines whether you are underweight, overweight or obese.
Reluctance to the financial year: Exercise prevents insomnia, obesity, heart problems, diabetes … the list goes on. Exercise is also a stress buster. But because of our commitments, we often skip our training routines.
To sleep: Proper sleep is the ideal basis for a healthier and happier life. The circles under the eyes, stress, depression and weight gain all occur due to improper sleep. The use of computers and cell phones until midnight affects the rhythm of sleep and usually leads to sleeplessness and disturbed sleep. Dependence on mobile phones can cause depression.
Sexual behavior: Unhealthy choices can increase the risk of sexual dysfunction and sexual inactivity that can destroy your personal life.
dependencies: People are so busy and stressed that they often turn to drugs, smoking and / or alcohol just to escape their packed schedule.
drugs: Most people use medicines without a prescription: they tell the pharmacist what the problem is and ask for something to alleviate the pain. This is considered a particularly dangerous unhealthy choice! It is always better to consult a doctor.
Physical inactivity: Letting people spend hours and days and doing nothing is the worst and one of the main causes of illness and disability. Some call it physical inactivity “the greatest public health problem of the 21st century”.
As the saying goes, “health is wealth”. We should all try to improve ourselves so that we can be healthier and happier.
